Britcon is a leading building, civil engineering and structural steelwork contractor based within Scunthorpe, UK. Founded in 1990, Britcon remains family owned and run, combining traditional values with modern management and construction techniques.

Britcon is a member of the Hunt Group of Companies which includes Specialist Surfacing Ltd, Specialist Surfacing (Western) Ltd, Coldmac Ltd and Plant and Equipment Training Ltd. Britcon draws on this expertise in building, civil engineering and surfacing to provide the complete contracting solution.

Management acumen

Britcon's 30 strong management team has been recognised with a number of awards and our management, safety and environmental record is second to none. Britcon has achieved ISO9001 (Quality), BS5750, OSHAS 18001 (Health and Safety) and the ISO14001 (Environmental) standards. We also have specialists in IT, health & safety as well as surfacing and materials experts.

Skilled operative network

Britcon operates a close-knit network of skilled and experienced operatives and labour only subcontractors. The application of stringent quality and management standards guarantees the quality of work we expect from our strong national supply chain.

We also have inhouse specialists for surfacing and structural steel. There are 18 welders and platers working in our Scunthorpe workshop and 2 fully equiped site erection crews. All operatives understand the importance of safety and environmental standards. For us, 'no harm' is not just management speak, this is a core prority implemented by everyone, all the time.
