Britcon in the Community

Operating across community boundaries Britcon often brings together organisations from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. We aim to focus the teams efforts on those things important to the people who live in, work in and visit the areas in which we operate.

We actively seek out and contribute to community based initiatives either in terms of sponsorship, time, resources or our support in sourcing other funding. A recent example of this is our company's participation in 'Construction Week'

Britcon and Construction Week

The aim of this not for profit week was to inform young people and their influencers about the many and varied careers available in The Modern Construction Industry and to give Industry an opportunity to engage with young people.

Britcon opened our site to visits during this period for pupils from various schools throughout the Bristol area.

Creating sustainability

The communities in which we live and operate are critical to the long term sustainability of our company and we are committed to improving them to the best of our ability.

Britcon aims to minimise our community impact and deliver benefits through better selection and improved usage of local products and services. We strive to foster innovation to increase the availability and effectiveness of sustainable solutions.

We encourage our suppliers to adopt practices that minimise their community impact and deliver benefits in relation to their own operations and throughout the supply chains in which they operate
