The 15 unit development known as Abbey Court will provide accommodation for local fast growing businesses .
Jobs are sure to be created in Selby through the completion of a new regeneration scheme. The site is being developed by regeneration specialists Priority Sites Limited where Britcon has been appointed to carry out the building work.
Adam Richardson, development manager of Priority Sites, said 'Abbey Court would be ideal for businesses that had outgrown their present home. Instead of moving to York or Leeds, they will be able to expand into attractive accommodation on their doorstep. That's great news for Selby.
' Britcon have undertaken numerous similar developments for this innovative client and are currently working on a similar project in Cornwall. Coun David Fagan, the chairman of the council's economy board, said: "We've been working closely with the developers to ensure the pieces of the jigsaw are in place so work can start on this project.
Priority Sites is a unique joint venture which brings together the strengths of a major private-sector financial group,The Royal Bank of Scotland, and a public-sector national regeneration agency, English Partnerships.
