Britcon are delighted to announce that we have won SME Project of the Year for the construction civils works completed at H+H Celcon, Goole at the annual CECA awards in Harrogate. In addition, Britcon was Highly Commended for its commitment to its Sustainability Strategy (Britcon Zero)

The purpose of the H+H Celcon project was to develop the best available international technology to create an alternative sustainable solution to the use of pulverized fly ash in the process of manufacturing concrete blocks for the construction industry. Our scope of works included decommissioning, demolition works, reinforced concrete structures (above and below ground), a structural steel building extension, mechanical and electrical installations and process commissioning.

Our Highly Commended award for Sustainability Strategy has been recognised through achieving carbon neutral status and has involved a tremendous effort by all our staff, as well as working alongside our partners to drive year-on-year progress in sustainability working in line with the internationally recognised PAS 2060 specification to achieve Carbon Neutral status with the launch of “Britcon Zero,” which will aim to drive positive change, reduce carbon emissions and move towards their long-term target of achieving net zero.
