Shaun joined the family business in 1992 after attaining a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering at Loughborough University.
Starting out as a site engineer Shaun quickly progressed through the ranks within the business to become Managing Director in 2009. Shaun recently handed over the role to concentrate more on Group wide matters in the role of Chief Executive Officer whilst maintaining his directorship and guidance at Britcon.
Shaun engages with all aspects of construction through the group businesses including civil engineering, building, steel work engineering, highways construction and development. This facilitates full turnkey solutions to specific client requirements and delivers speculative developments for disposal or investment purposes.
Paul is a time served tradesman who has progressed through all levels of the industry to his current position as Managing Director at Britcon. He has previously held senior roles at a number of successful regional limited and national PLC contractors.
Paul is passionate about the built environment and has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Building for over 20 years, He currently serves as Chair of the CIOB in Leeds & West Yorkshire and is on the Board of CECA in the Yorkshire region. He is also actively involved with Constructing Excellence and its Best practice agenda in Yorkshire.
John commenced his career as a site agent in civil engineering, later moving into commercial and contracts management before joining Britcon in 1994 as Senior Estimator.
During his time at Britcon John has been involved in all forms of procurement from traditional tendering to partnering and frameworks in both civil engineering and building sectors.
John has held the role of Estimating Director for a number of years and is a highly regarded and respected industry professional.
Craig oversees delivery with a critical eye on all construction projects for Britcon across the UK. He is a highly skilled professional with a blue chip background in managing diverse and complex projects across the public and private sector.
Craig has managed major schemes including a £100 million BSF portfolio and a £50 million nuclear decommission project.
He has an MSc in Construction Management, a HND in Civil Engineering and in an active member of MAPM and MCIM.
Nick started his career as a design engineer holding a number of positions within various sectors of heavy industry involving process plant and structural steelwork design.
He progressed to senior management roles, holding positions at both regional companies and national Plc's over a number of years before joining Britcon in 2004 as Engineering Director.
He has built an enviable reputation for quality steelwork engineering in such diverse sectors as rail, civil engineering, construction and process industries.
Brian is a chemistry graduate who then trained as a Chartered Accountant. He gained experience working with a number of large manufacturing businesses before joining Hunt Group as Group Finance Director in 2011.
Brian oversees finance and IT functions for all Hunt Group companies including Britcon. Technically strong, he is also pragmatic and engages as advisor at all levels in the business to improve procedures and output.
After working in large multinational companies, he appreciates Britcon’s family ethos where individuals are encouraged to make a difference.
