Works Scope

Britcon was appointed for the design and build of a new 40,000Sq. ft warehouse extension within the existing facility. The construction was a steel portal-framed building on concrete foundations with external built-up trapezoidal wall cladding to the external façade and new concrete floor.

Internal works included new internal perimeter blockwork walls, alteration to the existing roof sheeting rails, alteration/extension to the existing sprinkler system, new energy-efficient lighting, space heating, small power wiring to the fire alarm system and mechanical ventilation - all designed by specialist designers.

External works included the removal/regrading of existing spoil located on site, and the removal and re-instatement of the existing Paladin security fence. External landscaping was carried out on completion of the main build.

How we successfully delivered the project

We successfully delivered this project through detailed surveys and co-ordination of the works.

The construction was a steel portal framed building on concrete foundations with external built-up trapezoidal wall cladding to the external façade and new concrete floor.

Additional works included breaking through the existing external wall (West elevation) and installing three electronically operated roller shutters to link the two areas and creating an additional fire exit to the South elevation.
