Britcon was delighted to support GoConstruct's Pride & Joy campaign which was an initiative set up to give insight to our industry to family.
GoConstruct asked construction workers to bring their parents to work for the day and let them experience exactly what we do in our industry opening their eyes to what is involved and that it's not all dirty work and cold hands!
Britcon's, Gemma Lennon got involved, bringing her Dad, Richard Hopkinson in for a day and be filmed by GoConstruct whilst go about day to day tasks.
Gemma's Dad, Richard Hopkinson said "It was a real eye opener, I had no idea the diversity of what is involved in Gemma's role. Also, the consideration which needs to be thought about not only when moving forward with a project but with the wider audience. It was a good day and I was glad to have the opportunity to see what goes on!"
Britcon would like to thank Wakefield Council and their involvement with the filming.
