Block and concrete engine enclosures constructed to be capables of housing eight 2.5MW gas fired gensets housed in pairs and support for attenuators and flue stacks. The construction of a concrete service yard with an electrified perimeter fence and incoming roadway to highways adoptable standard.
Britcon has secured a £13.5m contract to deliver the construction works on a new anaerobic digestion (AD) plant in Dagenham for food waste recycler ReFood (UK) Ltd.
This appointment follows the Yorkshire office of Britcon delivering the construction works on a £24m plant in Widnes in 2014, and a £20m plant completed in 2011 at Doncaster with a subsequent £5m extension constructed in 2014, all for Refood (UK) Ltd.
The construction works comprised the demolition of existing garages and plant rooms including asbestos removal. This was followed by significant ground works incorporating concrete piling and associated reinforced concrete infrastructure.
