Britcon Appointed for the new Maple Grove Developments, Hattersley Trade Park Contract
Britcon are pleased to announce that we have been appointed as the principal contractor for the new £11m, Hattersley Trade Park development in Hattersley, Tameside
Works will commence on site in May, and complete in early Summer 2026. The regeneration project which will bring significant investment to the local area.
The land associated with the development was sold to Maple Grove by Onward Homes to facilitate further regeneration in the Hattersley area.
The development will provide over 57,000 sq ft of mixed-use units, including an Aldi supermarket, a Costa Coffee drive-through, a new Be.EV Charging Hub and eight modern trade counter units. Sustainability is at the core of the development and the buildings will be fitted with solar panels and innovations to support achieving their target BREEAM ratings.
As part of our commitment to minimising environmental impact, the project will also include a tree-planting programme and pond, to support a positive bio-diversity gain, ensuring a positive legacy for future generations.
Once completed, the scheme is expected to create over 100 new jobs within the local community. Britcon is proud to be delivering this regeneration project and looks forward to working with all stakeholders to maximise social value outcomes.
