Britcon Wins Hattrick at British Safety Council Awards 2023

Britcon are delighted to announce that it has received three Health, Safety and Wellbeing awards at the annual British Safety dinner on the 19th May at the Landmark in London.

Britcon (UK) Limited was awarded:

  • Best in Sector (Construction and Property Activities)
  • Best in Country
  • Joint Winner of the Chief Adjudicators' Award

Addressing the room of award entrants and winners, Mike Robinson said: “As always, this event provides the opportunity to celebrate the success of all the winners of the International Safety Awards and associated free to enter awards.

“I’m delighted to see so many people here tonight, as by your presence you’re not only demonstrating your commitment to improving the health, safety and wellbeing of your organisations, but are also helping celebrate sixty-five years of improving health & safety standards around the world.

Britcon are delighted to announce that not only did we receive a distinction in the British Safety Council International Safety Awards 2023, we also received three Health, Safety and Wellbeing awards at the annual awards dinner on the 19th May at the Landmark Hotel in London.

Britcon (UK) Limited was awarded

  • Best in Sector (Construction and Property Activities)

Recognise overall 'best in class' submissions to the International Safety Awards, by industry sector.

  • Best in Country

All International Safety Award applicants are entered into this award, Britcon received the highest score and best overall application.

  • Joint Winner of the Chief Adjudicators' Award

The Chief Adjudicator's Award is awarded to the ISA application that achieves the highest score each year internationally.

In his address, Peter McGettrick said: “The commitment to health and safety in this room is an inspiration to us all, and we thank you for your dedication to keeping our workplaces and communities safe.

“We applaud your hard work, dedication, and commitment and these awards remind us that health and safety is not just the responsibility of those at the top, but one that requires everyone to take responsibility for their own health, safety and wellbeing.”

Gina Ridsdale Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for Britcon (UK) Ltd said "We are delighted not only to win one award but three. Its a real credit to the vision of the business after the new Managing Director (Nick Shepherd) and the senior leadership team (including myself) replaced the previous management team in 2019. We remain focussed in delivering high standards, but in the same instance never become complacent in what we do."
