Britcon to 'design and build' a Chemical Processing Plant Training facility for the purpose of upskilling the current Humber bank workforce and technical assessment of new entrants to chemical and allied sectors.

North East Lincolnshire Council appointed Britcon to 'design and build' a Chemical Processing Plant Training facility for the purpose of upskilling the current Humber bank workforce and technical assessment of new entrants to chemical and allied sectors. The site situated at Kiln Lane, Stallingborough, North East Lincolnshire measures approximately 4 hectares.

The facility comprised the following: two-storey office and training block, large training workshop with amenity block, L shaped 4-storey high process plant, single-storey control room, external learning zone hard standings, access roads, parking, landscaping and fencing.

Coun Geoff Lewis, portfolio holder for regeneration, said: "Britcon were chosen after assessing such considerations as evidence of extensive and well-used health and safety procedures, cost and quality. "Council officers undertook a site visit and were impressed with the way the company were working on site and the integration of sub-contractors and suppliers into Britcon procedures.
