Grimsby Automotive Terminal

Britcon were employed as Principal Contractor by Associated British Ports to undertake construction of a vehicle import terminal at the Port of Grimsby (GAT - Grimsby Automotive Terminal).

The scheme also involved extensive mitigation for ecology which Britcon undertook across 9 acres of the site.

Undertaken as a ‘Design and Build’ project Britcon initially provided 55 acres of macadam surfaced vehicle storage area together with associated lighting towers, drainage and fencing.

The extensive infrastructure comprised a rail crossing, construction of a vehicle underpass, retaining structures, ducts, hard and soft landscaping. All within a working port environment.
