Henderson Quay Crane

The project comprised the construction of an extension to the existing 21m span container crane beams, situated at No8 quay, Immingham Dock.

The two existing reinforced concrete container crane beams were extended by 140metres eastwards along Henderson Quay. New buffer stops located at the ends of the extended beams and a storm anchor position was installed towards the eastern end of the beams.

The landslide crane beams were piled using driven precast concrete section piles. The seaside beam was supported of the existing Henderson Quay structure.

Other works included the taking up and laying to falls of 2000m sq of block paving.
