Overview
The development of Associated British Ports Hull estate took a further step forward with the construction of Shed 6 undertaken by Britcon.
Britcon undertook the design and construction of an 8500M2 new steel storage facility comprising extensive substructure, structural steelwork frame, insulated cladding, heavy duty floor slab, doors and lighting etc together with external works.
Coinciding with this project Britcon completed the redevelopment of the existing Shed 4 on King George Dock to change its use together with new access arrangements, gatehouse and external works.
Works at Shed 4 comprised the design and construction to fully enclose existing shed including new foundations, steelwork and cladding, installation of 2 new roller doors and upgrade to lighting together with a new gatehouse and barriers, new tarmac surfaced yard and associated fencing works.
