Works Scope

Treleigh Park at Treleigh Industrial Estate, Redruth, was the final commercial development phase on this estate and comprised the full design and construction of up to four flexible industrial units in two blocks with a combined GIA of 30,000 sq. ft.

Constructed as a speculative industrial development of two 10,000 sq. ft units and two 5,000 sq. ft units with internal offices, the partially-let development was sold to a single investor on completion.
Built to a BREEAM excellent rating, the units include a host of environmental and sustainable features.

Key Project Challenges

  • The sloping site required the use of an economic and visually pleasing retaining wall solution.
  • In addition to overcoming problems associated with the site’s previous mining use, we had to eradicate Japanese Knotweed over a significant area of the site.

How we successfully delivered the project

The retaining wall solution was achieved using gabion baskets filled with locally quarried stone.

The eradication of the Japanese Knotweed was efficiently and effectively achieved through in-situ treatment and encapsulation with ongoing maintenance inspections under an insurance backed warranty/guarantee via an approved consultant and contractor.
